You can easily sum up success…. hire the ‘right’ personnel and watch your business sour to great achievement. NOTHING is more important than having good people exceeding customer expectations. Most of my experiences, at least the last 32 years, have been in the "people" business. Helping the UNemployed person find a JOB. Some folks came to us and they had a job, but wanted a better one. Our company focus was on CAREER development. Increased value and responsibility ~ higher wages for the qualified employee. Over the course of many years, our staff consultants placed thousands of people in new jobs. OWN YOUR OWN BUSINESS -- You may be THINKING about "buying" or investing in a franchise. It could be that you are planning to purchase a business, already established. On the other hand, maybe you are the ULTIMATE persona of an entrepreneur... you've got an IDEA or HOBBY that's exciting and just driving you into a business start-up. GO FOR IT!! Don't get side-tracked by the "nay-sayers" telling you to keep your job. Forget it. You'll go broke! Fail. Work 80 hour weeks. Your spouse will leave you. There are hundreds more with negative thoughts or fear. DO YOUR HOMEWORK Every business should have a BUSINESS PLAN. Otherwise, you will likely "go down the tubes" like I have more than once. Why? It's all about FOCUSing your dream. A friend of mine says that one of the very best books is part of the "DUMMIE" series for writing a business plan. Worth buying and giving it your best shot. You will never learn everything in advance. Experience is a great teacher ~ yet the PAIN of 'learning' is not much fun. At least you can learn some valuable lessons from my experiences. Mostly good!
